Georg Seesslen was born 1948 in Munich. He studied Art at the „Akademie der Bildenden Künste“, worked as an author and editor, co-founded the publishing company „Roloff & Seesslen“, specialized in film history and film theory. Since then he contributed to various magazines as „epd Film“, „Wespennest“ and „Kursbuch“ and newspapers as „taz“, „Zeit“ and „Freitag“. Published books on Stephen Spielberg, Lars von Trier, Christoph Schlingensief and others, is teaching film analysis and cultural criticism at various universities and film schools. His latest works are connected to themes like „Freedom & Control“, „Donald Trump seen as Media Star“ and „Posthuman Sex Fantasies“.
Heleen Gerritsen (The Netherlands, 1978) studied Slavonic Languages and Economics in Amsterdam and St. Petersburg. She has lived in Germany since 2003, where she worked in film production and as a curator for various film festivals. In 2009 she produced her first feature-length documentary and founded her own film production company. From 2014 to 2016 she was the festival director of the European documentary film festival dokumentART in Neubrandenburg. Since October 2017 she became the head of goEast – Festival of Central and Eastern European Film which is organized by DFF - Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum (the German Film Institute)
Tinay Mushdiyeva was born in 1979 in Balakan, Azerbaijan. She studied Philosophy at JLU Giessen and HU zu Berlin and graduated in 2009 at the HU zu Berlin. She is currently working on a PhD and research project (University of Vienna) in Ancient Greek Philosophy.Since 2018 she is working at Baku Research Institute.
Pasha Tabrizli was born in 1975 in Tabriz. Areas of Pasha's artistic activity include filmmaking, photography, and poetry. He also completed the full filmmaking course at Tabriz Youth Cinema Association. In the field of photography, he has published the book “Contemporary figures of Azerbaijan”, in two languages, Farsi and English. Pasha has received numerous international and domestic awards, such as the Gold Medal of Japan Asahi Shimbun Photo festival, selected of International Mental Health Photo Festival, third place of Firoozeh International Photo Festival, selected of B.W Portrait Festival, Slovenia, selected of Dask Dogay Festival and dozens of other awards. He also published 2 poetry books: “You will not be Ismael” and “You are not my Goddess”. Pasha is currently making a documentary on the life of Alim Qasimov the famous Azerbaijani singer.
Irada Baghirzade was born in 1960 in Baku, Azerbaijan. She has a bachelor's degree in Russian philology from the Azerbaijan State University. She is currently a member of the Writers' Union of Azerbaijan and the Cinematographers' Union of Azerbaijan. In 2010, she graduated from Rustam Ibragimbekov's Baku Film School with a diploma in screenwriting. She is the head of the ADARI FILMS private film studio.
Mirbagir İsmailov was born in 1988 in Lankaran. In 2009 he graduated from LSU with a degree in English and literature. Since 2008 he has been making TV programs on TV. He has been an editor and co-author of the journal “Film Fiction” since 2014. He is the author of the “Rapsodiya” (2015) – “Rhapsody”, “Duman bizi aparacaq” (2016) – “Fog will take us” documentaries as well as a short mockumentary “Məni iri planda çəkmə” (2017) – “Don`t take a close-up of me ” mockumentary. He is currently working on the pre-production of his documentary “28 meters below sea level”.
